(Day 5)

------------------------------------------------------------
San Lucas (2008.01.01 Day 5)

The first day of New Year 2008. For Boathill, it was his first sunrise of the year; for me, it was my first stretch. I was so relaxed.

(We were searching for a spot to shoot the famous El Archo. Here was the first stop in San Lucas and we did not see it from this beach.)

I emptied all cash from Boathill's wallet and bargained two hats and one red bag for $40. The peddler tried to ask for the wallet when I showed everything inside. We chatted a while about his friend going to work in America. He helped to correct my grammar. When I was "amiga" and he was "amigo", we both took the deal happily.

Around 1240 we found this Shrimp Factory that I had read reviews from the internet. We ordered the Jumbo shrimp. When I saw the waiter served some colorful drinks in big round cups, I asked him and he told us it was margarita. I ordered two favors and I liked the strawberry one.

We shopped couple blankets and walked up to Jungle Avenue, across the street Boathill took a picture of this Mamarita store. Then we walked back to Dairy Queen where we parked the car. During the time I bought milk shakes, Boathill was still busy to capture whatever he could find on the street.

Along the harbor, it was crowded with tourists in the restaurants, bars, small stores, and crafts booths. Enjoying the local lives, we were walking all the way to west and trying to find the best spot to watch the sunset. The woman at our resort had told us that she climbed over the hills to find Lover's beach. But we saw the sign of "No Se Vende..." and guessed the climbing was no longer allowed.

Walk and walk ... we eventually found this open beach behind a resort.

I was tired and could not walk any more.

See the shirt that I borrowed from Boathill and he had to bare the arms ...

We enjoyed a whole afternoon here and had thought this was the Lover's Beach.

Walking with ocean waves ...
Is it Yoga or Taiji?

Wah! Sunset ...
